February 3, 2011, Grand Junction, CO - Brighten your weekend with the passion and imagination of Vivaldi, performed by masterful musicians on the guitar, flute and violin. On Feb. 26 & 27, the Avalon Theatre plays host to the Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra and Vivaldi's Guitar Concerto, Flute Concerto and timeless The Four Seasons. Concerts will be held on Saturday, February 26 at 7:30pm and a Sunday, February 27th matinee at 3:00pm. Captivating guitarist Christopher Robin Johnson will enchant listeners with his performance of Vivaldi's Guitar Concerto. Jane Kuenzel, GJSO principal flautist, will perform Vivaldi's spirited Flute Concerto, engaging the the audience with beautifully provocative nuances of the flute. The highlight of the evening is sure to be concertmaster Carlos Elias' masterful performance of Vivaldi's most popular work, The Four Seasons. The GJSO and its esteemed violinist will take listeners on a vivid and memorable portrayal of spring, summer, autumn and winter.
