Crystal Baton

The Crystal Baton is a composition competition for students grades 6th through 8th. Applicants must create an original 16-64 measure melody. The melody must be clearly notated and handwritten on staff paper or composed in computer-aided software. The melody will be arranged, orchestrated and then performed by the Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra.

Submissions for the 2011-12 Crystal Baton Composition Competition are currently being accepted until Monday, November 28th. Please drop by the Symphony office to pick-up an application or fill out the form below.
